We are THRILLED to see that jewelry was back in a big way at this year’s Gold Globe awards! From traditional diamonds worn in non-traditional ways to statement vintage pieces to elegant antique jewels, the red carpet showed a lot of glamorous variety. Here are four of our favorite jewelry looks paired with similar pieces from our collection – perfect for your everyday red carpet moments.
Love Reese Witherspoon in this sunny shade of yellow! Her rich diamond studded gold collar necklace could’ve looked heavy, but paired with understated diamond studs and soft makeup, it was the perfect statement piece. Our Victorian gold collar necklaces are statement pieces that you can wear every single day, no need to wait for a red carpet. They’re soft, flexible, and elegantly drape around your neck. The antique gold has achieved a beautiful patina that’s flattering to all skin tones. We’re not kidding when we say that you won’t want to take them off!.
Janelle Monae’s fun polka dots in her signature black and white was one of our favorite looks. She went all out with coordinating clutch, nails, and even tiny pearls woven into her updo. Stacked diamond cocktail rings amped up the glamour, especially the one on her pointer that resembles a big diamond polka dot! We think everyone should have a fun diamond ring (or 2 or 3!) in her jewelry wardrobe, like a vintage cluster ring, Art Deco dinner ring, or even a fun band.
Emma Stone definitely had one of the most talked about jewelry moments. Her glittering antique Tiffany & Co diamond necklace with pendant was the perfect match to her silver star spangled gown and she looked every inch a movie star. We think her look will be inspiring a lot of brides come June! These two striking diamond necklaces, top Edwardian and bottom Art Deco, capture a similar lacy feeling and would be stunning on a bride or for a special event.
Jessica Biel’s dramatic Victorian drop earrings are another statement piece that can turn any day into a red carpet event. They perfectly frame her face and create a more modern, unexpected look than if she’d chosen diamond encrusted earrings. The late 19th century fashion for elaborate updos meant that Victorian women loved drop earrings. Luckily for us, this means there’s a large variety of antique styles available, from golden Etruscan Revival to bold faceted onyx, to lend 21st century style a dash of drama.
